Thank you for joining me on this journey. I am just a mom, a real mom, who is blonde, that is sharing her story. We all have a story to tell, and I hope my story inspires you.
My story as a mom began at 17 years old. I found myself pregnant, unmarried, and totally lost in my life. I truly believe God intervened in my life to change me and inspire others in my situation.
The purpose of my blogging has changed over the years as my oldest has gotten older. You can read all about how this all truly started here. I became a mom at 17, and my journey as a mom has changed over the years. It is an ever evolving job I honor very much. After having my fourth child, I felt the need to try and rediscover myself again and what I enjoy doing. Writing is one of those things, along with fashion. I’m trying to make fitness one of those things too… it is still a work in progress!
I hope to encourage other mamas out there to not lose yourself in the midst of motherhood. YOU are important – it is just as important to find internal happiness for you as it is to strive for happiness for your kids.
My original goal in life was never to be a stay at home mom, but here I am. I wouldn’t have it any other way! despite it being WAY harder than I could have ever imagined. I apologized to my sister for months after becoming a stay at home mom.. I would make fun of her and tell her how “easy” she had it. Boy, was I wrong!
I would love to connect and inspire other mamas out there — whether you are a new mom, with an unplanned, unexpected pregnancy — a special needs mom, navigating this crazy new world you didn’t ask for — or a seasoned mom, looking for friendship. Being a mom is HARD. Period. Is it worth it? Absolutely. But we shouldn’t be doing it alone.
You can follow me on instagram to keep up with my daily happenings – I also *try* to post my daily outfits on there too 🙂
